Peruzzi Admits He Sometimes Sounds Like 2Baba, Says He Learned It from the Legend

He revealed he picked up the vocal style while working closely with 2Baba on music.
Nigerian singer Tobechukwu Victor Okoh, popularly known as Peruzzi, has admitted to the popular opinion of his voice resembling 2Baba.

Over time, some fans have pointed out the similarities between Peruzzi’s vocals and those of the legendary “African Queen” singer.
Speaking on the Afrobeats Intelligence podcast with Joey Akan, Peruzzi responded to the comparisons and explained how it came to be.
“How do people say I sound like 2Baba sometimes? I learnt it while I was with him,” he said.
Peruzzi and 2Baba previously teamed up on the 2020 hit single “Amaka,” a track that quickly became a fan favorite thanks to their seamless vocal blend.
