Nigerian music star Davido has shared a throwback memory from his early days in the industry, revealing how he once ran errands for Don Jazzy and D’Banj using his father’s Rolls Royce.
The Afrobeats singer recounted the moment in a video posted on X by user @AsakyGRN, where he reflected on his humble beginnings and how far he has come.
According to Davido, the event took place in Atlanta between 2007 and 2009. “In my father’s house, I was freestyling for Don Jazzy and D’Banj. They sent me to buy McDonald’s with my dad’s Rolls Royce,” he said with a smile.
