She revealed unpaid bank loans and expired goods as major setbacks during her toughest period.
May Edochie, the estranged wife of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, has revealed that the breakdown of her marriage led to the total collapse of all her businesses.

She made the emotional disclosure during the unveiling of her beauty brand in London, sharing how the situation pushed her into serious debt.
“It was barely a few months when all the unprecedented occurrences came my way, I sat and watched everything go down the drain and it came at a time I had to repay three banks,” she said.
May explained that the crisis affected her financially at a time she was heavily reliant on loans to keep her businesses running. According to her, she had borrowed from three banks before things took a turn for the worse.
“The banks had been helping me really good, but it was unfortunate that everything happened at the same time and I lost everything. While so much was going on social media, I was battling other things a lot of people don’t know about. In the midst of these, I still had to pay three banks loan, interests were piling,” she said.
She further shared that she lost all her businesses, with goods in her stores expiring and everything falling apart. Despite the setback, she remained determined, believing in herself and refusing to be at the mercy of anyone.
