Blessing CEO Confirms IVD’s Arrest at Lagos Airport, Says There was no Legal Traveling Ban
Blessing CEO has confirmed the arrest of her partner IVD at Lagos airport while heading to Qatar.
He was reportedly held over his manslaughter case, but she insists no travel ban was in place.
Popular relationship coach, Blessing Okoro, widely known as Blessing CEO, has confirmed that her partner and well-known car dealer, Ikechukwu Ogbonna (IVD), was arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on Friday, August 1.

IVD was reportedly apprehended by officials from the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions while preparing to board a flight to Qatar alongside Blessing.
His arrest is believed to be linked to his ongoing court case involving the death of his wife, Bimbo Ogbonna, who passed away under controversial circumstances in October 2022. Reports allege that she died from injuries sustained during a domestic incident that led to a fire at their Lagos residence.
The Lagos State Government had earlier charged IVD with one count of involuntary manslaughter in suit number LD/21055C/23. There are unconfirmed claims that the court had restricted him from leaving the country until the case is resolved.
Reacting to the incident on Instagram, Blessing CEO defended her partner and said there was no legal order barring him from travel. She described his arrest as an act of bullying and intimidation, stating that if a ban existed, he would not have publicly made travel plans.
