A candlelight procession for slain Fish Magnet CEO Martins Onyekesi will be held on Tuesday, August 5.
Organized by VeryDarkMan, the event aims to honor Onyekesi and raise awareness about rising insecurity.
A candlelight procession will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, in honor of the late Martins Onyekesi, the CEO of Fish Magnet, who was tragically killed by gunmen in Ezinifite-Okpuno.
The peaceful tribute is being organized by social activist and commentator Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan. The procession is scheduled to commence at 3:00 PM from Aroma Junction in Awka, with participants marching to the Fish Magnet office located at Ring Road.
According to VDM, the event is both a memorial for Onyekesi and a call for urgent attention to the issue of insecurity in Anambra State and other parts of Nigeria.
“I’ve contacted the Police PRO in Anambra, popularly known as Ikenga, and he has assured us of adequate security,” VDM stated.
Organizers have requested that all participants dress in black outfits to show solidarity and mourning. The procession is expected to last for approximately two hours.
