APC Warns El-Rufai Against Attacks on President Tinubu

APC slams El-Rufai over attacks on Tinubu, calling them reckless and politically unproductive.

Party urges him to offer real policy ideas instead of repeated public criticism and blame.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, to cease what it described as persistent and reckless criticisms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his administration.

In a statement issued by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC took exception to comments made by El-Rufai during a recent event in Sokoto, labeling them as the “outburst of a failed politician.”

The party challenged El-Rufai and his allies to focus on offering practical and constructive policy alternatives rather than making unsubstantiated accusations.

“Rather than indulge in baseless attacks, El-Rufai and his associates should present concrete policy suggestions that could prove more effective than those already being implemented under President Tinubu’s leadership,” the statement read.

Morka emphasized that the major candidates in the 2023 presidential election including President Tinubu agreed on key reforms such as the removal of fuel subsidy and the unification of exchange rates, recognizing the urgent need to address Nigeria’s economic challenges.

The party further criticized the opposition’s failure to propose credible solutions, especially in the context of subsidy restoration, questioning how such policies would be funded without plunging the country into deeper economic crisis.

Describing President Tinubu as a highly patriotic and detribalized leader, the APC expressed confidence that Nigerians would continue to support his administration and ultimately renew his mandate in 2027.

“The positive outcomes of President Tinubu’s policies are already becoming evident, and we believe his first term will go down as one of the most impactful in Nigeria’s history,” the statement added.
