Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has ordered the immediate reinstatement of 81 government officials who were previously suspended for failing to attend an important state function.
This directive was disclosed on Tuesday through a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Dr. Monday Uzor.
The reinstated officials include commissioners, senior special assistants, special assistants, and permanent secretaries. They have been instructed to return to their official duties without delay.
The suspension, which took effect on July 28, had affected key government personnel including the Attorney General who were temporarily barred from performing official duties and had their salaries withheld during the period.
While the statement did not provide reasons for lifting the suspension, it confirms that all affected officials are now fully restored to their positions.
