Iyabo Ojo Petitions NSA Over Civilian Access to Police Interrogation Room
Iyabo Ojo petitions NSA over police conduct, cites presence of VeryDarkMan during interrogation session.
Actress alleges bias and leaks, demands case transfer to Lagos for fairer, more neutral investigation.
Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has filed a formal complaint to the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, over what she describes as unprofessional conduct by officers of the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF NCC).

The actress, through her legal team, The Maverick Forte Legal, submitted the petition on July 29, 2025. In it, she raised concerns about the presence of activist Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, during her police questioning at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
According to the petition, Iyabo Ojo alleged that during her interrogation, a civilian, who is also a defendant in a separate case where she stands as a witness, was granted access to the interrogation room. The petition claimed that the approval reportedly came from Commissioner of Police, CP Ifeanyi Henry Uche, citing what Ojo described as an inappropriate relationship between the officer and VeryDarkMan.
Iyabo further alleged that sensitive details from her session were later leaked online by the activist, which she said undermines the credibility of the process. In response, the actress said she will no longer honor any further invitations to the Abuja office. She has called for the case to be reassigned to the Lagos command for what she described as a more “neutral and unbiased investigation.”
