Tinubu’s Government Is Worse Than Buhari’s, Says Ex-Minister Waziri
Ex-minister Adamu Waziri has slammed President Tinubu’s leadership, calling it worse than Buhari’s administration.
He accused the government of worsening insecurity, collapsing the economy, and deepening divisions across Nigeria.
Former Minister of Police Affairs and African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain Alhaji Adamu Maina Waziri has delivered a scathing critique of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, branding it as a “disastrous catastrophe” that has worsened the country’s challenges beyond the failures of the Muhammadu Buhari-led government.

Speaking during an interview with Trust Television, Waziri expressed grave concern over Nigeria’s worsening trajectory under the current leadership, stating, “If the Buhari government was a failure, the Tinubu government in the last two years is a disastrous catastrophe. It has failed in all ramifications, and the country has regressed.”
He highlighted key issues, including deepening insecurity, economic deterioration, and growing corruption, describing the state of the economy as near collapse. According to him, the rise in ethnocentric politics, inflation, and violent crime reflects the administration’s lack of effective governance.
He further accused the Tinubu government of lacking a clear national direction, saying Nigeria has become more divided and fragile. He questioned the integrity of public endorsements from individuals whose communities are still under siege by bandits and insurgents.
Waziri urged Nigerians to move beyond surface-level political messaging and critically assess the government’s actual performance. He argued that no administration presiding over a national decline across all sectors should credibly seek reelection.
