Liverpool Accept £56.6m Offer from Al Hilal for Darwin Nunez
Liverpool agrees £56.6 million deal with Al Hilal for striker Darwin Nunez’s potential transfer.
The move awaits Nunez’s approval as Saudi club offers better terms than rival AC Milan.
Liverpool has agreed to a deal with Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal for the transfer of striker Darwin Nunez in a move that could be worth up to £56.6 million (€65 million), according to reports from Sky Sports.

The agreement includes a guaranteed fee of £46.2 million (€53 million), with performance-related add-ons potentially raising the total package. However, Liverpool is still awaiting confirmation from Nunez himself on whether he will accept the move.
Al Hilal is reportedly prepared to meet the Uruguayan forward’s salary expectations, a factor that played a crucial role in progressing negotiations. Meanwhile, Italian giants AC Milan also expressed interest in Nunez but could not match the financial terms proposed by the Saudi club.
Nunez joined Liverpool from Benfica in 2022 for an initial fee of £64 million, with add-ons pushing the potential cost higher. During his time at Anfield, the 25-year-old striker scored 40 goals in 143 appearances across all competitions. While he showed early promise under former manager Jürgen Klopp, netting 18 times in the 2023/24 season, his form declined under new boss Arne Slot, managing only seven goals in the 2024/25 campaign.
Despite a dip in overall consistency, Nunez delivered some crucial moments for the Reds, including two stoppage-time goals in a dramatic 2-0 victory over Brentford in January. Nevertheless, with Slot reshaping the squad for a new era, Liverpool appears willing to cash in on the striker.
The proposed move would mark another high-profile addition for Al Hilal, who have been aggressive in the transfer market as the Saudi Pro League continues to lure European talent with substantial contracts and fees. If completed, Nunez would join a growing list of top players making the switch to the Middle East.
Liverpool, on the other hand, is expected to reinvest the funds as it seeks to refresh their attacking options for the upcoming Premier League season under Slot’s leadership.
