Nigerian singer Simi has called for disciplinary action against airport staff who filmed and circulated an unedited video of Comfort Emmanson, the Ibom Air passenger accused of unruly behavior, during her forced removal from an aircraft.
In a post on her Instagram Stories, Simi condemned the manner in which Emmanson’s privacy was violated, noting that the footage captured her in a state of indecent exposure and was later shared online without any form of editing or censorship.
The singer argued that accountability should be applied evenly, insisting that if Emmanson is to be punished for her conduct, those responsible for recording and releasing the compromising video should also face sanctions. “If we are treating one madness, punishing Comfort, we must also not forget to sanction the indecent exposure by the officer as well,” she wrote.
