Omori, who shared his journey in an X post, revealed that his creative roots trace back to church drama nights, where he first discovered and refined his acting and directing skills. He explained that the church not only gave him a stage to showcase his talent but also encouraged him to take filmmaking seriously.

According to him, faith has been just as important as career success, and people should respect those who find fulfilment in spirituality rather than in wealth.

He wrote that life is not solely about making money or pursuing economic power, noting that some people find comfort and peace in spirituality or religion. He pointed out that even in China, there are monks and spiritualists who have devoted themselves to seeking eternal life without any interest in worldly wealth. He added that lacking life experiences that leave one with no other choices does not make a person wiser, emphasizing that a billion religious people cannot all be foolish. He concluded by urging people to live and let others live.

Omori went on to share how the church actively supported him in his early days. He said the church funded and encouraged him to pursue a career in filmmaking, providing a platform for him to discover his acting and directing skills during drama nights, at a time when the hood or trenches had social clubs or neighborhood theatre houses. Acknowledging that everyone has their frustrations and arguments, he appealed for the church to be given breathing space. He added that if he calculated his entire family’s offerings over 10 years while growing up, it would not reach the ₦20,000 money his father used to regularly spend on beer in those days.

He concluded with a firm declaration of faith, writing, “Jesus Christ will forever be my Lord and personal savior, and I shall never be too cool to proclaim his goodness and mercies.”
