Nollywood actress Monalisa Chinda has expressed concern over the increasing cost of essential amenities such as electricity and water.
In an Instagram post accompanied by her photo, she questioned why resources that are naturally available have become so expensive for Nigerians to access.
“Lord, the Light (electricity) and water that you created, you gave to us freely, they are down here charging us crazily for it… I mean beyond crazy,” she wrote.
She also raised questions about how people living below the poverty line are coping, describing the current situation as a crisis. “How are people living beyond the poverty threshold managing? How do we navigate through this crisis? Never giving up,” she added.
