Tinubu Embarks on Official Visits to Japan and Brazil
President Bola Tinubu has departed Abuja for official visits to Japan and Brazil.
He will attend TICAD9 in Yokohama before a state visit to Brazil for economic talks.
President Bola Tinubu has left Abuja for official visits to Japan and Brazil, with a brief stop in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

According to presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga, the president is accompanied by ministers, special advisers, and other senior officials. His first destination is Yokohama, Japan, where he will attend the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) from August 20 to 22. During the event, Tinubu will take part in plenary sessions, meet with Japanese government representatives, and engage with top executives of companies that have investments or business interests in Nigeria.
After concluding his engagements in Japan, the president will travel to Brasília, Brazil, for a state visit on August 24 and 25, at the invitation of Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. While there, he will hold bilateral talks with President Lula and join a business forum designed to deepen economic and investment cooperation between Nigeria and Brazil.
