The father of Comfort Emmanson, the Ibom Air passenger whose sensitive body parts were exposed in a viral video, has called for compensation and accountability from those responsible.
The incident, which transpired from Emmanson’s altercation with Ibom Air officials, continues to stir public outrage. Speaking out, her father insisted that the humiliation his daughter suffered and the damage done to their family’s reputation must not be ignored.
He expressed deep disappointment at how the matter was handled, lamenting that his daughter was stripped in public and disgraced before the world. According to him, the ordeal has left lasting pain not only on Comfort but on the entire family, who are now dealing with both shame and trauma.
The father, who noted the sacrifices he made to raise his daughter, described the treatment as unjust and unacceptable, stressing that she committed no crime. He insisted that the family’s name had been dragged through the mud and demanded that those behind the act be held accountable.
He said:
“I don’t know why it would have happened that way. Is it because I don’t have money? I don’t know how these people are going to pay my bills. They just rubbished us. They tarnished our image. I’m not feeling myself and I don’t feel like eating anything. They strip my child naked, and she didn’t steal. Compensation must be paid….”
