Kidnappers Flee After Car Crash in Nasarawa, Abandoning Ransom and Weapons

A gang of kidnappers operating in Kokona Local Government Area of Nasarawa State lost both their ransom and firearms after their escape vehicle crashed on Monday morning.

The incident happened at Angwan Mayo, along the Kokona axis, when the suspects’ Peugeot 406, which was carrying weapons, veered off the road shortly after they had collected ransom money from their victims.
Eyewitnesses said the criminals fled the scene, leaving behind the cash and their arms. Soldiers later arrived, secured the area, and recovered the abandoned items from the vehicle.
According to authorities, security operatives have since launched a manhunt to track down the fleeing suspects.
