Taskforce Arrests 32 Suspected Drug Users in Overnight Raid Across Ikeja
Lagos taskforce arrested 32 suspects in a midnight raid on Ikeja drug hot spots.
Officials said the operation uncovered narcotics, with all those apprehended set to face prosecution.
The Lagos State Environmental Taskforce has apprehended 32 people during a midnight operation targeting drug abuse hot spots in parts of Agidingbi and Ikeja GRA.

The raid, which took place around 1 a.m. on Tuesday, August 20, led to the arrest of 25 men and seven women. Officials said the suspects were caught with substances believed to be Indian hemp, codeine, and other narcotics.
Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, confirmed the development in a post on X. He explained that the operation covered several areas where the presence of suspected criminals had been reported. These included Alausa CBD, NERDC Road, Alhaja Ashabi Cole Street, the frontage of the African Shrine in Agidingbi, Adekunle Fajuyi Way, Shobo Arobiodu, Isaac John Street, Oba Akinjobi Road, and adjoining locations within Ikeja GRA.
According to Wahab, all those arrested will be charged to court in line with the law.
