Labour Party Blames APC for Worsening Insecurity and Rising Hardship

Labour Party has accused APC of worsening insecurity and hardship, saying Nigerians now live in constant fear due to poor governance.

The party stressed that APC must accept responsibility for insecurity while offering itself as a safer alternative.

The Labour Party has strongly criticized the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), accusing it of deepening insecurity and worsening economic hardship since it came into power in 2015.

In an interview with TVC News, the Deputy National Chairman of the Labour Party, Ayo Olorunfemi, said Nigerians have been forced to live in fear due to the government’s failure to properly address threats of kidnappings, banditry, and insurgency. According to him, the current level of insecurity is a direct result of APC’s style of governance.

“What we are witnessing today is not accidental. It started with APC and their approach to governance. The kidnapping and everything is not hidden from anybody,” Olorunfemi said. He recalled a remark made by former President Muhammadu Buhari before the 2015 elections, which he claimed contributed to a culture of political violence and bloodshed.

Olorunfemi insisted that APC should take full responsibility for the state of insecurity in the country, saying the ruling party has made Nigerians see fear and violence as part of everyday life. He also argued that the administration has failed to provide practical policies and leadership capable of protecting citizens.

He emphasized that the Labour Party presents itself as a better alternative, one focused on rebuilding national trust and creating a safer environment for all Nigerians.
