No Ongoing Recruitment, NECO Cautions Job Seekers
NECO has warned Nigerians about a fake online recruitment scheme created by fraudsters to deceive the public.
The Council stressed it has no ongoing employment exercise and urged reliance on official channels.
The National Examinations Council (NECO) has issued a warning to Nigerians about a fake online recruitment scheme currently making rounds on the internet.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Council’s spokesperson, Azeez Sani, clarified that NECO has no ongoing employment exercise. He explained that the false publication was created by fraudsters with the sole aim of deceiving unsuspecting members of the public.
According to Sani, NECO is not carrying out any recruitment and the viral message is completely fabricated. He stressed that the Council will only announce staff employment when approval is granted by the Federal Government, and such a process will strictly follow established procedures and the law under the leadership of its Registrar, Prof. Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi.
The Council urged Nigerians to disregard the misleading notice and verify any official information about recruitment only through NECO’s legitimate communication channels.
