Phyna Accuses Dangote Group of Failing to Honor Agreement Over Sister’s Treatment

Phyna accused Dangote Group of failing to honor an agreement to fly her injured sister abroad.

She alleged the company stalled on promises after a Dangote truck critically injured Ruth Otabor.

Reality TV star and former Big Brother Naija winner, Phyna, has accused the Dangote Group of reneging on an agreement to fly her sister, Ruth Otabor, abroad for urgent medical care.

Taking to Instagram, Phyna explained that after a Dangote truck left her sister critically injured, she had been in touch with the company and regularly shared medical reports. According to her, the initial arrangement was that Ruth would only be stabilized in Lagos before being transferred overseas.

But she alleged the group later insisted on using the same doctors already managing her sister locally, citing insurance procedures. This, she said, felt like an attempt to delay or avoid the earlier promise.

Phyna wrote:

“Medical reports he said to me received and I said these are all the medical reports… we had an agreement that we are only bringing my sister to Lagos so they will be stabilizing her while we prepare to travel. That was our agreement… Now see the hospital, they are good, I feel they can handle, but sir, we need to fly my sister out. If Dangote’s child is sick, do they wait for medical reports to tell them to treat the girl in Nigeria? My sister’s lungs, there is fluid. Her reproductive organ is crushed. Her bladder is busted. We are praying every day for her to get to the next day. And you’re trying to outsmart me.”

The actress lamented that after making her stance clear, Dangote’s representatives stopped responding to her messages. She insisted she would not gamble with her sister’s life and vowed to make her full list of demands public soon.
