Alejandro Garnacho Seals £40M Chelsea Move on Seven-Year Deal
Chelsea have signed 21-year-old Argentine winger Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United in a £40 million deal.
The talented forward joins Enzo Maresca’s squad on a seven-year contract, strengthening Chelsea’s attacking rebuild.
Chelsea have completed the signing of 21-year-old Argentine winger Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United in a deal worth £40 million, including a 10 per cent sell-on clause.

The transfer, finalized on Thursday, marks United’s fourth-largest sale in history after Cristiano Ronaldo, Romelu Lukaku and Ángel Di María. Both clubs are said to be satisfied with the outcome, while Garnacho had been keen to make the switch throughout the summer window.
According to transfer analyst Ben Jacobs, Garnacho has signed a seven-year contract at Stamford Bridge, choosing Chelsea over interest from Bayern Munich and other European suitors.
The winger left Old Trafford after losing his first-team position.
For Chelsea, his arrival represents a significant boost to their attacking depth under new manager Enzo Maresca, who has already overseen a summer spending spree of over £250 million, with a focus on young talent.
Garnacho’s signing continues the Blues’ long-term rebuild strategy, which has also brought in João Pedro, Jorrel Hato and Jamie Gittens in recent weeks. The Argentine, who broke into United’s first team as a teenager, is expected to be officially unveiled by Chelsea in the coming days.
His move is seen as both a statement of ambition by Chelsea and a significant career reset for a player who has been tipped as one of the brightest attacking prospects in European football.
