Peter Obi Urges Nigerian Youths to Get Voter Cards Ahead of 2027 Polls
Peter Obi has called on Nigerian youths to prepare for the 2027 polls by registering and voting.
He urged them to use their voter cards to secure competent and compassionate leadership.
Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has urged young Nigerians to take part in the 2027 general elections by registering and voting. He noted that God will not descend from heaven to choose leaders, stressing that the responsibility of building a better country lies with the people.

Obi made this appeal on Sunday in a post shared through his official X account after attending the National Youth Rally to mark the 40th anniversary of the Catholic Youth Organization of Nigeria (CYON). The event was held at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Awka, under the Onitsha Ecclesiastical Province.
The former Anambra governor reminded young people that their Permanent Voter Cards remain their strongest tool against poor governance. According to him, the future of the country will be shaped by the choices they make at the polls.
He further explained that rebuilding Nigeria requires leaders who possess competence, compassion, and character, urging citizens to prioritize these qualities when casting their votes.
