Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has shed light on his family background and the beginnings of his business journey, stressing that his success story is self-made despite being born into affluence.

In a recent interview, the billionaire businessman acknowledged that he comes from a wealthy lineage but emphasized that he did not rely on inherited wealth to build the Dangote Group.

He explained that his entrepreneurial journey began under the guidance of his uncle before he later moved to Lagos to start out on his own.
