The Command’s spokesperson, Ibrahim Abdullahi, disclosed the arrest in a statement on Wednesday. He explained that Adam, originally from Garko Local Government Area but currently residing in Kawo, Nassarawa Local Government, allegedly committed the offence in his hometown.

According to Abdullahi, the suspect reportedly deceived his victim by employing charms and making false promises of helping her achieve higher education and establishing a profitable business.

He added that investigations into the matter had been completed and that Adam would face prosecution in court.

In a related development earlier in July, the NSCDC Command in Ekiti State apprehended and arraigned one Abigail Timothy in connection with a ₦159 million visa scam. The command’s Public Relations Officer, Tolulope Afolabi, confirmed that Timothy was accused of swindling Pastor Adewusi Tibatope Samuel and several others of a combined ₦159,108,364.

The Corps also reported the recent arrest of another suspect in Kano accused of orchestrating job scams. The individual allegedly tricked people into paying money with false assurances of employment opportunities in state ministries.
