According to The Athletic, the six-time African Women’s Footballer of the Year arrived in Saudi Arabia on Monday to undergo her medical, with the deal finalized just before the summer transfer window closed. Bay FC, her previous team in the United States, has finalized an agreement with Al Hilal regarding a transfer fee that has not been disclosed.

Oshoala, 29, only joined Bay FC earlier this year following an illustrious spell at FC Barcelona Femeni, where she cemented her reputation as one of the world’s top strikers.

During her time in Spain, she lifted multiple league titles, UEFA Women’s Champions League trophies, and several individual awards, including the Golden Boot.

In her first season with Bay FC, she played a key role, starting 23 out of 25 matches and scoring seven goals. The move to Al Hilal represents a fresh opportunity for the Super Falcons star to rediscover her scoring form and make an impact in one of the fastest-rising women’s football leagues globally.

Al Hilal, who finished sixth in the 2024/25 season after the competition expanded from eight to 10 clubs, will be banking on Oshoala’s experience and firepower to push higher up the table.

Her arrival also strengthens the Nigerian presence in Saudi Arabia, joining fellow Super Falcons players Ashleigh Plumptre and Francisca Ordega, who are already plying their trade in the league.
