Family of Four Dies in Abuja Crash After Clash With Roadside Touts
A family of four died in a crash at Mabushi Bridge, Abuja, after a clash with touts.
Eyewitnesses said the vehicle lost control when one suspect seized the steering.
A fatal accident at the Mabushi Bridge in Abuja has claimed the lives of a man, his wife, and their children after a confrontation with suspected roadside touts, commonly called agbero.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident began when the driver, who was travelling with his family, stopped at the Berger Roundabout in Wuse to pick up another relative. This reportedly angered some touts in the area, who accused him of breaking their “rules.”
Witnesses said the argument escalated, and in the heat of the struggle, one of the touts allegedly forced himself into the car and grabbed the steering wheel.
The tussle caused the vehicle to veer uncontrollably before crashing into a concrete pillar of the Mabushi Bridge. The impact killed the driver, his wife, and their children instantly.
The tragic event has sparked outrage among residents, who have repeatedly raised concerns over the menace of touts at major junctions and motor parks in the capital city.
