NAF Airstrikes Kill 15 Terrorists in Sambisa Hideout
The Nigerian Air Force says at least 15 terrorists were killed in a Sambisa Forest airstrike.
The raid, part of Operation Hadin Kai, also destroyed insurgent hideouts in Borno State.
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), under Operation Hadin Kai, has confirmed the killing of at least 15 terrorists and the destruction of their structures during an air operation in Sambisa Forest, Borno State.

Military sources revealed that the mission took place on September 3 around 11:50 a.m. at Zuwa, a newly identified hideout. The strikes followed intelligence reports which tracked insurgents who had been fleeing from continuous ground operations in the Bitta area since July.
Surveillance carried out by Grey Raptor aircraft reportedly exposed the terrorists’ movements along a river line that stretched from Bitta towards Zuwa. According to one source, “Overhead the western part of Zuwa, our crew observed terrorist structures with several fighters wearing ISWAP uniforms. It was evident the location had become a major concentration point. Precision-guided strikes were then executed on the targets.”
The air bombardment destroyed the hideout and eliminated over 15 fighters. Security officials described the raid as a continuation of the July 28 encounter in Bitta, where ground forces dislodged many insurgents from their stronghold.
The military stressed that both air and ground troops of Operation Hadin Kai remain committed to intensifying joint operations. They pledged to sustain reconnaissance, close air support, and targeted strikes until Boko Haram and ISWAP elements are completely wiped out from the North-East region.
