Afrobeats singer Tiwa Savage has sparked conversations in the music industry after questioning the long-standing “Big 3” tag that often highlights Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy as the leading voices of the genre.
In a recent interview, Savage argued that the conversation is incomplete without acknowledging Tems, pointing to her international success, including a Grammy Award and her appearance on the Billboard Hot 100.
Tems has worked with several global stars and played a key role in pushing Afrobeats onto the world stage, achievements Tiwa believes should not be overlooked.
“I also feel like it’s unfair to have that conversation about the Big 3 and not mention someone like Tems,” Tiwa said.
