Dangote Cautions Against Unauthorized Use of Logo On Trucks
Dangote Industries has sounded a strong warning to truck operators illegally branding vehicles with its logo.
The company says unauthorized usage damages its reputation and vowed strict legal action against offenders.
Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) has issued a new warning to truck operators regarding the unauthorized use of its logo on vehicles, emphasizing that this misuse has caused significant reputational harm to the company.

The Group stated that despite repeated warnings, some operators unaffiliated with Dangote continue to brand their trucks using its logo, often for personal gain or undisclosed motives. The company noted that this has led to unfortunate incidents where accidents involving unrelated trucks were wrongly attributed to Dangote.
In a strongly worded statement, DIL vowed to intensify monitoring efforts in collaboration with security agencies and law enforcement. The company also confirmed it will pursue legal action against violators to safeguard its brand identity.
“We have repeatedly cautioned truckers to refrain from using our logo on unauthorized vehicles. From now on, we will step up vigilance and take decisive legal action against such misuse, particularly involving trucks unaffiliated with the Dangote Group,” the statement read.
Dangote also expressed concern about the spread of misinformation linking the company to accidents and other incidents that had no connection to its fleet. The conglomerate urged the public and media outlets to verify information before publication or circulation, warning against those attempting to exploit tragedies for malicious or financial purposes.
