Ex-lawyer Emeka Ugwuonye has reignited controversy by accusing May Edochie of lies.
He shared alleged chats online after she sued him for defamation and cyberbullying.
Emeka Ugwuonye, once May Yul-Edochie’s lawyer, has lashed out at her, accusing her of dishonesty and branding her a “terrible liar.”
This comes after May, the estranged wife of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, through her legal representatives Graylaw Partners, filed a lawsuit against Ugwuonye, accusing him of defamation, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking.
Responding to the accusations, Ugwuonye shared on Facebook alleged private messages exchanged with May concerning her divorce case. According to him, he had supported her during the legal process, guiding her in court appearances and giving her what he described as “first-class treatment.”
The lawyer alleged that despite his efforts, May betrayed his trust and attempted to paint him in a bad light. He further described her as manipulative and fake, warning that he could release more damaging evidence if pushed.
“If you see the chats between us, you will understand how fake May is and what a terrible liar she is. All those who believe her are just pitiable. I guided her on court schedules and ensured she didn’t waste time before her case was called,” Ugwuonye wrote.
The clash between the former allies has fueled growing controversy around May’s divorce proceedings and the ongoing online drama.
