In a post shared on X on Sunday, Adekunle reminded critics that the housemates are adults who gave their consent, stressing that there is nothing wrong with them being physically attracted to each other. He also emphasized that the show is rated 18, urging viewers to keep this in mind before judging.

His reaction came after viral clips from the house showed Koyin and Isabella in a compromising position under the duvet after the Saturday night party, sparking speculations of sexual activity. Earlier, Jason Jae and Sultana had also faced backlash after a video appeared to show Sultana’s head moving under a duvet following the Friday night wager task, suggesting an intimate act.

Condemning the criticism, Adekunle described the attacks on the housemates as “image shaming” and unnecessary reputation damage. He argued that many of the same critics likely engage in similar or even worse behavior in private, pointing to public hypocrisy and double standards.

He wrote:

“So, because consenting adults ON A RATED 18 show who are clearly attracted to each other get intimate, that’s why you guys are coming up with all these think pieces? The hypocrisy I’ve seen this week alone is laughable.

What do you guys really think happens when adults are left together in a confined space? Please let’s be real.

The gag in all of this is, the people who are pointing fingers and quick to accusations actually do much worse, with multiple people infact.”
