Bandits Kill Eight, Injure 20 in Kaduna Village Attack
Armed bandits attacked Wake village in Kachia, Kaduna, killing eight people and injuring over 20.
Several residents were abducted, while local officials visited survivors receiving treatment at St. Gerald Hospital.
Armed bandits have attacked Wake village in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State, leaving eight people dead and more than 20 others injured, several of them critically.


The raid, which took place in the early hours of Sunday, September 7, 2025, also saw an undisclosed number of residents abducted. The community is currently burying the victims while struggling to provide medical care for the wounded.
At the time of filing this report, security authorities in Kaduna had yet to issue an official statement, and the number of those kidnapped remains unconfirmed.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of Kachia Local Government, Hon. Manzo Daniel Maigari, alongside Vice Chairman Hon. Peter Agite and the Kachia constituency representative in the State House of Assembly, visited survivors receiving treatment at St. Gerald Hospital, Kaduna. Their visit was described as a show of solidarity and humanitarian support to the victims.
