Media personality Shade Ladipo has publicly apologized to Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage for criticizing her after the leak of her private video in 2021.
In a heartfelt post shared on Tuesday, Ladipo admitted that she was among those who harshly condemned Tiwa Savage at the time, saying she now deeply regrets her reaction. She explained that, in hindsight, her judgment was misplaced and insensitive.
She went on to say that, over time, she came to understand Tiwa Savage was the victim and should never have been blamed for what happened. “Looking back, I don’t know why I judged her so harshly for something beyond her control. I felt her pain, and I just want to say I love you and I’m sorry!” she wrote.
