Actress Doyin Kukoyi has clarified rumors linking her romantically with veteran actor Taiwo Hassan.
She explained the speculation began from a movie set photo where they played husband and wife roles.
Nollywood actress Doyin Kukoyi has spoken regarding rumours of a romantic relationship between her and fellow actor Taiwo Hassan, known as Ogogo.
The rumours began in 2022 when she shared photos of them online and playfully referred to him as her husband.
In a recent interview on Seun Oloketuyi’s YouTube channel, Kukoyi explained that the story gained traction after she posted a photograph taken on a movie set where she and Ogogo acted as husband and wife. She noted that many people assumed the photo reflected her real life and the rumour has persisted since then.
She said: “I was at a movie location with Ogogo, we both played the movie roles of husband and wife where our daughter got married.
The two of us took a picture, and I shared the picture on my social media page, and some people took out the picture and started saying that we were married. Till today, a lot of people still believe that I’m married to Ogogo.I took the picture with Ogogo because I loved him.”
Kukoyi also used the interview to reflect on her professional journey, revealing she has been in Nollywood for over thirty years, with her first media experience beginning at Daar Communications.
