NABTEB Releases 2025 June/July Results, Records Higher Pass Rate in Mathematics

NABTEB released the 2025 June/July NBC and NTC exam results showing improved Mathematics performance.

Over 89,000 candidates had results processed, with strong credit passes recorded across technical and business subjects.

The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has published the results of its 2025 June/July National Business Certificate (NBC) and National Technical Certificate (NTC) examinations, with a marked improvement in Mathematics performance.

Announcing the results on Thursday in Abuja, the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Mohammed Aminu Mohammed, said 92,875 candidates registered for the exams across 1,892 centres nationwide a 37.08 per cent increase in enrolment over 2024, alongside a 10.77 per cent rise in exam centres.

According to him, candidates were tested in 16 Engineering Trades, seven Construction Trades, nine Miscellaneous Trades, four Business Trades, and 16 General Education subjects.

Mohammed disclosed that 89,621 candidates had their results processed, with 61,104 or 68.18 per cent earning at least five credits including English Language and Mathematics. Another 74,633 candidates, representing 83.28 per cent, secured five credits and above with or without English and Mathematics.

He noted that Mathematics showed a stronger pass rate than last year, while English Language saw a slight decline. Specifically, 94.60 per cent of candidates achieved pass grades in Mathematics compared to 93.10 per cent in English Language.

On examination malpractice, the Registrar reported 435 candidates implicated in 516 cases, down from 349 candidates and 524 cases in 2024 an indication of a slight reduction in malpractice rates.

He also announced that registration has opened for the 2025 November/December NBC/NTC and Advanced National Business Certificate/Advanced National Technical Certificate (ANBC/ANTC) examinations. Prospective candidates are advised to visit the NABTEB portal or any State or Zonal Office for registration guidelines.
