Ossai Ovie Success, Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Delta State Governor, has publicly criticized Afrobeats star Asake also known as Ololade Mr Money over his new tattoos and hairstyle.
A few days ago, Asake unveiled striking new tattoos covering parts of his face and much of his body. The move drew mixed reactions online, with many fans debating his evolving image. Reacting in a lengthy Facebook post, Ossai expressed disappointment in the singer, accusing him of abandoning his roots and adopting excessive Western habits.
“Asake is exhibiting def*rmity and I’m disappointed in him,” Ossai wrote. “He was a poor boy whom God raised from grass to grace. Today, look at him and what he has become because of western exposure. Since he relocated from Nigeria, he has tattooed his whole body and is exhibiting pride.”
He went on to question the motivation behind Asake’s transformation, suggesting it reflects loneliness at the top and midlife anxiety. “People like this grow up frustrated and unhappy,” he added.
