UK doctor Suhail Anjum left an operation to have s€x with a nurse during surgery.
He admitted wrongdoing, apologized to everyone involved and said he wants to put things right.
A medical tribunal in the United Kingdom has been told that consultant anaesthetist Suhail Anjum walked out of an ongoing operation at Tameside Hospital in Greater Manchester to have a s€xual encounter with a nurse.
According to the hearing, Dr. Anjum told his colleagues he needed a “comfort break” and asked another staff member to watch over the patient, who was under anesthetic. He then went to a different theatre and had s€x with Nurse C, but another nurse entered the room and reportedly found them “in a compromising position” before alerting hospital authorities.
Andrew Molloy, representing the General Medical Council (GMC), confirmed that the patient suffered no harm and the operation was completed without incident.
Dr. Anjum has admitted the misconduct, calling his actions “shameful” and accepting full responsibility. “I offer my sincere apologies to everyone involved and I want the opportunity to put this right,” he told the tribunal, adding that the episode came during a “stressful time” for his family.
The tribunal hearing is scheduled to continue on Friday.
