Ondo APC Elders Vow to Mobilise 1.5 Million Votes for Tinubu
APC elders in Ondo State vow massive backing for President Tinubu ahead 2027 elections.
They target 1.5 million votes from 1.9 million registered voters to secure his re-election.
Elders of the All Progressives Congress in Ondo State have pledged to deliver massive support for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections.

Under the banner of the Ondo State APC Elders Movement, the group said it would work to ensure that out of 1.9 million registered voters in the state, at least 1.5 million cast their ballots for the President.
Speaking at a meeting in Akure on Monday, the movement’s chairman, Senator Nimbe Farunkanmi, described the initiative as a drive for “Tinubu’s continuity in office.” He added that similar meetings would be organized at local government, ward and unit levels to strengthen mobilization efforts.
Mr. Jamiu Ekungba, another leader of the group, said the goal was to bring party members together and mobilize them for the ongoing voter registration exercise. He recalled that in past elections the party’s performance exceeded expectations and said the 1.5 million-vote target was realistic.
“The elders want to persuade everyone to come out and vote. We are going to vote massively for Tinubu in such a way that has never been done,” he said.
Mrs. Olukemi Iyantan, Ondo State’s representative at the National Population Commission, said the focus had already shifted to the 2027 general elections following the November 2024 governorship poll. She stressed the importance of unity and the role of elders in helping the party achieve its aim.
According to her, “Now that we have leaders and elders who are committed to the cause of 2027, the re-election of our President will be easier to achieve.”
