Ex-Super Eagles Star Dominic Iorfa Named Barau FC General Manager

The veteran football administrator is expected to guide the Maliya Boys through their historic top-flight debut.

Former Super Eagles forward Dominic Iorfa has been appointed General Manager of newly promoted Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side, Barau FC.

The Maliya Boys, who are making their maiden appearance in the NPFL, announced the appointment on Wednesday, describing it as part of their long-term strategy to strengthen leadership and deliver top-flight football.

The 56-year-old Iorfa boasts extensive experience in Nigerian football administration.

He previously served as Vice President of Lobi Stars, a Nigeria National League (NNL) outfit, and has built a reputation in talent development, strategic leadership, and elite performance management.

Barau FC expressed confidence that his expertise will be crucial in guiding the club through its debut NPFL campaign.

The Kano-based club also confirmed the appointment of Kabiru Baita as their new Vice President.

In a statement, Barau FC said:

“These appointments reflect our commitment to excellence, growth, and delivering top-tier football for our supporters. We believe Dominic and Alhaji Baita will help Barau FC reach new heights and make our fans proud. We warmly welcome both of them and look forward to an exciting season ahead.”
