The announcement came on Saturday during Adayilo’s funeral at the National Ecumenical Centre in Abuja, where Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike addressed mourners. The service drew top government officials, civil servants, family members, and friends who gathered to pay their respects.

Wike described Adayilo’s passing as a deep and painful loss, calling her a dedicated and humble public servant whose work for the FCT Administration would not be forgotten. He said the President’s decision to provide automatic employment to Adayilo’s children was in recognition of her decades of service and the family’s loss of its breadwinner.

He also praised her for championing timely payment of workers’ salaries and entitlements and for her leadership within the civil service and her community. Wike urged Nigerians to embrace values of integrity, devotion, and public service, noting that life’s uncertainties make it vital to serve humanity faithfully.

Relatives, colleagues, and friends remembered Dr. Adayilo as a compassionate leader and motherly figure who left behind a legacy of commitment and selfless service
