Big Brother Naija Season 10 shocked viewers in Week 8 with four housemates leaving the show. Kulture, Bright Morgan, Joanna and Thelma were evicted after getting the lowest votes.
Joanna and Kulture were evicted during Sunday’s live show hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, while Thelma and Bright Morgan left in a surprise twist on Saturday night immediately after the party. It was the first time this season an eviction took place on a Saturday. Kulture got 4.54%, Bright Morgan 3.88%, Joanna 3.70%, and Thelma 3.27%.
The Week 8 evictions set a record as the first back-to-back weekend of exits this season, reducing the housemates from 29 to 13 with just two weeks left before the ₦150 million grand prize is decided. Viewers and contestants alike were caught off guard, as Saturday evictions had never happened before, and many initially suspected another fake eviction like the earlier twist for Rooboy, Dede and Joanna.
The weekend’s double eviction added to a long list of exits since August, starting with Danboskid and Ibifubara on August 10 and most recently Denari and Tracy on September 14. With only a few weeks left, the race for the ₦150 million grand prize and the winner’s crown is now at its peak.
