The incident occurred on Sunday night when the two women were taken from the home of Pastor Samuel Nasamu of the Word of God Church.

According to Pastor Nasamu, his wife, Mrs. Patience Nasamu, who is nursing a three-month-old baby, was at home with the infant and a female church member who had come to visit. The pastor said he had briefly stepped out to pray for another church member when the attack began. He recounted that he received a phone call from his wife but could only hear her praying before the line went silent. By the time he returned, both his wife and the visitor had been taken, leaving the baby behind.

The pastor explained that the attackers arrived at his compound around 8:15 p.m. and tried to force their way into his apartment. He said they used hammers to smash doors and windows but, when unsuccessful, began shooting indiscriminately. This forced his wife to open the door, and in the chaos that followed, she and the church member were seized. Earlier in the evening, around 7:00 p.m., some residents had reportedly seen suspicious faces on motorcycles, which raised fears of an impending attack.

Nasamu revealed that since the abduction there had been no communication from the kidnappers. He confirmed that police officers arrived at the scene after the incident and assured the family and the community that efforts were underway to find the victims and arrest the perpetrators.

A resident of Agyaragu, who asked not to be named, described the level of insecurity in the area as alarming. He called on Governor Abdullahi Sule to take immediate action to curb the frequent kidnappings. According to him, many people, including farmers, have been abducted in recent months and live in constant fear for their safety.
