Notorious Vandal Nabbed in Kogi State
Authorities in Idah, Kogi State arrest suspected serial vandal Umoru Faruk Unusah for damaging public infrastructure.
He was allegedly caught stealing cable wires from a solar-powered streetlight during a night patrol.
Authorities in Idah Local Government Area of Kogi State have arrested a suspected serial vandal, Umoru Faruk Unusah, for allegedly damaging public infrastructure.

According to reports, the suspect was apprehended by a combined team of the Idah Local Government Council Security Unit and the Special Hunter Squad led by Muhammed Opaluwa. The arrest occurred around 1:00 a.m. on September 20, 2025, during a routine patrol by the Hunter Squad.
Unusah, who is said to be from Sabongari in Idah, was allegedly caught removing cable wires from a solar-powered streetlight along Ede Wards Street. Security personnel recovered a bundle of wires believed to have been stolen, along with a torchlight suspected to have been used in the act.
Officials confirmed that the suspect has since been handed over to the police for further investigation and possible prosecution.
