Announcing the milestone in a video broadcast, Davido described his induction as “a gamechanger,” noting the power and responsibility that come with voting membership. “I have learned that voting empowers you to have a say in what is considered and voted on in each season,” he said. He added that he feels honored to join the Academy and looks forward to casting his vote for the upcoming 2026 Grammys.
