Bauchi Govt Sacks Two Officials Over Forgery, Promotes Senior Officers
Bauchi State has sacked two senior officials for forgery and document falsification, citing public service rules.
The Civil Service Commission also promoted several senior officers to boost efficiency and accountability.
The Bauchi State Civil Service Commission has dismissed two senior government officials for forgery and falsification of documents, citing violations of the State Public Service Rule 0327 (ii, iii, and vi).

In a statement issued on Wednesday by the Commission’s spokesperson, Saleh Umar, the officials affected were identified as Yusuf Ningi, an Administrative Officer, and Suleiman Ahmed, a Principal Executive Officer I. Both were previously posted to the Government House from the Office of the Head of Civil Service.
“The dismissal was considered and formalized during the Commission’s 35th plenary on September 23, 2025, and it takes immediate effect,” the statement read.
The Commission stated that the action was necessary to maintain accountability and integrity within the civil service.
Chairman of the Commission, Ibrahim Muhammad, cautioned civil servants to strictly adhere to Public Service Rules, circulars, and ethical guidelines, stressing that following procedures was vital to eliminate unlawful practices and improve service delivery.
“Adherence to laid-down laws and procedures is essential to rid the system of unlawful practices and enhance service delivery that is free from corruption,” Muhammad said.
Promotions for senior officials
Alongside the dismissals, the Commission also approved promotions for several senior officers:
- Three substantive directors were elevated.
- Four deputy directors were promoted to the rank of director.
- Newly promoted directors span administration and human resources, audit, planning, research and statistics, civil litigation, and land and valuation.
- Additionally, eight chief state counsel and a chief land officer were promoted to deputy director.
Muhammad congratulated the newly promoted officers and urged them to redouble their commitment to serving the state diligently.
