Gunmen have abducted a High Court judge’s daughter and another person in Maraba Gurgu, Nasarawa State.
Security forces and local volunteers are now mobilized to track the attackers and rescue victims.
Armed men on Wednesday evening, September 24, 2025, abducted two people, including the daughter of a High Court judge, in the Maraba Gurgu area on the outskirts of Lafia, Nasarawa State.
The victims were named as Hauwa Anisa Shikaru, daughter of the Chief Judge of High Court 4 in Maraba Gurgu, and Abdulkarim Ahmed Iliyasu.
Security sources said the assailants arrived at about 7:15 p.m., stormed the judge’s residence and took both individuals before help could arrive.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama explained that a combined team of operatives and local volunteers had been mobilized to track down the kidnappers and rescue the victims.
