A neighbor has recounted the chilling armed robbery that claimed the life of Arise TV anchor Somtochukwu Maduagwu.

A neighbor of late Arise Television anchor and producer, Somtochukwu Christelle Maduagwu, has spoken out about the armed robbery that led to her death.

Maduagwu, fondly known as Sommie, lost her life in the early hours of Monday, September 29, 2025, after a violent robbery at her residence in the Katampe area of Abuja.
Sani Yusuf, who lives in the same apartment block, revealed that he was the first person targeted by the attackers before the incident escalated. Sharing his experience on social media, he described the attack as a terrifying ordeal, adding that it happened in the heart of the Federal Capital Territory. He noted that he would provide full details later but, for now, prayed for the repose of Maduagwu and others who lost their lives.
