Odumeje Labels Tinubu a Businessman, Not a Leader

Pastor Odumeje has criticized President Bola Tinubu, saying he cannot be regarded as a true leader.

He accused Nigeria’s politicians of selfish governance, contrasting them with leaders he praised abroad.

Controversial cleric, Pastor Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, widely known as Odumeje, has criticized Nigeria’s political class, saying President Bola Ahmed Tinubu cannot be regarded as a true leader.

Delivering a sermon at his church, the preacher argued that genuine presidents are defined by their ability to transform their nations for the good of citizens, not by personal interests.

According to him, Tinubu falls short of that standard. He described the Nigerian president as “nothing more than a businessman,” contrasting him with world leaders such as Donald Trump, Burkina Faso’s Ibrahim Traoré, and China’s Xi Jinping, whom he praised for what he called strong leadership qualities.

Odumeje also condemned Nigeria’s style of governance, accusing politicians of focusing on enriching their families while leaving ordinary citizens to struggle. He stressed that leadership should be about building a country that benefits everyone, not securing wealth for one’s own children.

In his words, Nigeria, often hailed as the “Giant of Africa,” has instead become “a giant that continues to disappoint its people.”
