A police officer has been kidnapped by suspected bandits in Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The abduction took place on Wednesday, October 2, 2025, between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.
The officer, identified as Ezra from the Ndanakun community, was said to have been ambushed while returning from duty in Patigi town on his way to Lade.
According to eyewitness accounts, Ezra and another officer were each riding separate motorcycles when they ran into the armed men. The assailants reportedly opened fire indiscriminately, forcing the officers into a vulnerable position.
Ezra, who was ahead of his colleague, was overpowered and taken away by the attackers to an undisclosed location.
As of the time of this report, security authorities have not released an official statement on the incident.
