Edo NSCDC Commandant Agun Gbenga has d!ed after collapsing at an event in Benin City.
He was rushed to a hospital but confirmed dead shortly after delivering a goodwill message.
The Edo State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Agun Gbenga, has passed away after collapsing during an event in Benin City.
Witnesses said Gbenga had just finished delivering a goodwill message at a program organized by the International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) on Thursday, October 2, 2025, when he suddenly slumped.
Attempts by those present to resuscitate him were unsuccessful. He was immediately rushed to the Military Base Hospital in Benin, where doctors later confirmed his death.
Gbenga had been listed as one of the dignitaries to be honored with an award at the event before the tragedy occurred.
